Acts Of Kindness – Only The Good Friday

March 6, 2009 · Print This Article

Acts of kindness certainly is not limited to adult behavior.  Timothy Crookston of Kaysville, Ut has been helping his neighbors since he could walk.  He is now twelve, and is known to his neighbors as a friend and helper.   He takes out the trash, cleans yards, mows lawns, cleans houses and does what ever he can do to help.

He also visits those who need cheering up.  He checks on all the grandmas and grandpas on a regular basis.  Tim said,  “I just kind of talk to them instead of leaving them in their house to keep to themselves.”

Neighbor, Pauline said, “We love him in the neighborhood.”  Over the years, some of the neighbors have passed on… but their families praise Tim and thank him for his kindness  toward  their family member.

Last week, Tim was honored by television station Channel 5. He received the High 5 award for his acts of kindness toward his neighbors.   His reaction?  “I guess I just kind of learned that that’s what you do when you live in a neighborhood.”

I offer my High 5… along with his neighbors… to Tim Crookston, who does good deeds all week long… not just on Friday.

P.S. This reminds me of a song I learned as a child in church….”Have I done any good in the world today… have I helped anyone in need…..”
P.P.S. Check out  My friends Sheila and Shelly…  and Karina who  are also spreading the good word on Fridays

Tim is an inspiration for ALL of us, isn’t he? And, he’s hope for our future. Sorry I didn’t get out to visit yesterday, my husband kidnapped me for my birthday. I hope we can get some more folks to join the Only The Good Friday meme. We might have “good” all over the internet!

    Thanks for joining, Sheila

What a wonderful post and video about a wonderful boy. I know there are tons of good kids in the world. It’s wonderful that someone gave him the recognition.

I like this weekly feature. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for some good news.
